Chhattisgarh Transport Department

The Chhattisgarh Transport Department is the state’s regulatory authority for road transport, established following the formation of Chhattisgarh as a separate state. It oversees vehicle registration, driving licenses, permits, and road safety initiatives. It has successfully implemented national platforms like Vahan 4.0 and Sarathi 4.0, enhancing digital governance and citizen services. With a network of Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) across the state, the department ensures efficient transport regulation and public convenience. It also promotes electric vehicle adoption and manages high-security registration plates (HSRP) through authorized vendors.
